Competitiveness of the region in Kazakhstan: problems and solutions

Abstract

Need of development of a control system of economy of the region is caused by objective factors. At the present stage of development of the economic relations it is possible to state lack of a fair idea of functioning of the mechanism of management of economy of the region and the mecha­ nism of development of economy of the region; duplication of functions of management on a number of activities; fragmentariness of organiza­ tional actions for development of a control system of region economy. The revealed problems cause the necessity of research of theoretical aspects of management of economy of the region that will allow to create the relevant system. In article calculation of an index of regional asymmetry for a number of indicators in Kazakhstan during the period from 2003 to 2013 to which it is revealed is made that the general tendency during the considered period on all indicators testifies to asymmetric type of regional development.
