About the Journal

The «Journal of Economic Research & Business Administration» is an interdisciplinary journal that focuses on a wide range of topics in economic research and business administration. Since its foundation in 1992—with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as its founder and publisher— the journal’s editorial board has responded to contemporary changes in the research sector and has sought to provide a unique opportunity to cover, as comprehensively as possible, theoretical and empirical achievements in both economic and managerial fields, all presented within a single journal.

The journal serves as a platform for the publication of original findings from empirical research, methodological and conceptual developments, thematic and practical articles, interdisciplinary and review analyses across many areas of economic science, as well as research concepts and business strategies within the field of business administration.

 

The aim of the journal is to provide an insight into the challenges and opportunities for economic development, as well as into effective management practices in the fields of public and business administration that contribute to the sustainable development of domestic and international markets.

 

The journal is published four times a year and aims to promote the open and accessible dissemination of academic knowledge in the fields of economic research and administrative sciences.

Article originality: 80% (it is recommended to refrain from using generative AI in academic work) (in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 6 and 6.1, Section 9.

Average review time: 30–60 days from the date the article is submitted for review.

Authors’ revisions to the article: 7–15 days from receipt of the reviews.

Decision by the editorial board on acceptance for publication, specifying the particular issue of the journal: 7–15 days from the date of final peer review.

Submission Criteria for the Journal of Economic Research & Business Administration

 

The editors welcome the following as scholarly contributions:

• the application of economic theory and concepts from the administrative sciences to real-world research situations for the purposes of applied analysis

• the intersection of economic analysis and business management practices, enabling a holistic understanding of the research question

• significant advances in the fields of economic research and business administration through rigorous, up-to-date and innovative studies that are applied in international practice and provide a substantive contribution to the existing literature

• research based on thorough analysis, utilising complex, hybrid methodologies, as well as econometric and predictive analytics based on data

 

 

    Open Access Model

The «Journal of Economic Research & Business Administration» operates under an open access model; published articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication.

 

 

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Authors affiliated with institutions in Kazakhstan are required to pay a publication fee of 60,000 tenge once their manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Authors not affiliated with institutions in Kazakhstan are fully exempt from the APC scheme and are not required to pay any publication fee.

 

 

Editorial Board

The Journal of Economic Research & Business Administration is led by an experienced editorial board comprising doctors and candidates of science, professors, associate professors and researchers working at leading universities abroad, as well as editors-in-chief of highly-ranked journals. The Editorial Board oversees the peer-review process and ensures that all editorial decisions are made in accordance with the journal’s acceptance criteria and established ethical standards.

The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief L.A. Bimendieva, Associate Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Kazakhstan), together with other editors.

Editorial and Publication Policy

The Journal of Economic Research & Business Administration adheres to an established editorial and publication policy covering editorial oversight and decision-making, authorship, submissions, resubmissions and conditions of publication, peer review, and research ethics and integrity.

The journal is published in both electronic and print formats four times a year. Articles are assigned a volume and issue number, for example, Vol. X, No. X (year).

In exceptional cases, the editors may give priority to the peer review of manuscripts that report particularly significant theoretical advances or research findings.
