Abstract

The article is dedicated to the experience of European Union in the
area of waste management in part of activities regulation. Documents
regulating waste management aspects in European Union were analyzed –
directives, regulations, decisions and the action programs Questions concerning
process of waste management licensing, including: requirements
to the materials provided for obtaining the license/permission, introduction
of principle «the pollutant pays», implementation of legal requirements
to different types of waste.
Are given the main provisions of the waste management system in
the European Union, namely a detailed analysis of the main directives,
regulations and decisions of European countries for the safe management
of waste production and consumption.
Content of permits and requirements to countries participants on adjustment
of national legislation are described in the article.
In details requirements of the legislation of European on consumption
and production wastes processing are described. Cost indexes for various
types of recycling are given.
