Analysis of results of public – private partnership in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Abstract

The article contains a comparative analysis of the development of public-private partnership in the world, particularly in low-and middle-income countries, in Europe and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The article discusses the features of the application of PPP in different sectors of the economy. Purpose – Assessing the current state of public-private partnership in Kazakhstan and analysis of domestic experience in comparison with international experience and trends of PPP.
According to the research, in the Republic of Kazakhstan from 1990 to 2014 were realized 36 PPP projects. With 27 projects the energy sector remained by far the most active in terms of number of projects. Telecom sector was the second largest in number of projects – 5. Three projects have been completed and at the implementation stage.
