Abstract

It is known, that Customs Union – this is an agreement on the abolition of customs duties and the boundaries between them and the introduction of a unifi ed customs tariff in relation to other states. As the Customs Union purpose the initiators of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan declared signifi cant growth in member states economies. It is assumed that due to the increase of the market and the establishment of common rules for business participating countries will receive additional GDP growth of 1-2% per year and by 2015 Russia through integration factor wil receive an additional 16.8% from the current level of GDP, Belarus – 16.1% , Kazakhstan – 14.7% and together they earn more than 400 billion dollars. As the main component, agribusiness and agriculture play in the national economy of the Customs Union value role, as a signifi cant proportion of the gross domestic product of the Customs Union. This article analyses the strategic potential of the national agricultural sector, both in terms of food security and with the prospects of expanding foreign markets.
