Problems of intraregional social development.

Abstract

Summarizing and synthetic criterion related to socio­economic devel­ opment of the country and its regions is the living standard of people. It is characterized by a set of indicators that have various impacts on its content, quality and quantitative parameters. Real change in the living standards of regions’ population towards improvements can be achieved just within policy aimed at long­term stability goals and economic growth. One of the main objectives of regional social infrastructure functioning is procurement of sufficiently stable life support relating socially unprotected groups of the population. In the practice of social processes management the poverty estimation concepts are widely used – absolute and relational ones. It promotes differentiated approach application to define the social status of each region, zone and social layer of the population. The process of equalizing the social disparity is to be started in the given divisions. All the acute social issues primarily originate from them and the practical aspect of management has to be realized in them.
